Lindsay Waxler, LAc,MAc,MSW
Lindsay Waxler graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Recreational Therapy and Psychology. She then went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from The Tai Sophia Institute (currently called Maryland University of Integrated Health), and has been practicing acupuncture for 10 years. Due to her desire to continue working in a therapeutic environment, Lindsay went on to receive her Master’s Degree in clinical social work from Edinboro University. Lindsay has worked in the areas of domestic violence, school based therapy and in the hospital setting working with a wide range of individuals. During therapy sessions, she weaves mindfulness-based approaches into sessions to help build connections to the present moment, and provides a space where all parts of self can be met with acceptance, safety and compassion.
